Lifelong Learning

The first five years of a child’s life are when the foundations for learning and behaviour are established.

At Gleneagle Early Learning, children acquire lifelong learning skills through engaging programs like Junior MasterChef, Little Rangers, and adventurous risky outdoor play. These dynamic experiences foster creativity, resilience, and critical thinking, ensuring that each child develops a strong foundation of skills and a love for exploration that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Our nurturing and professionally-trained team will be committed to helping every little one in our care reach their full potential. We help them settle into our centre as quickly and comfortably as possible.

Our Childcare Facilities

Our facilities are designed to inspire and engage. We feature six vibrant rooms tailored for diverse learning experiences, alongside two expansive outdoor play spaces that offer plenty of room for exploration and development. Our garden area encourages a love for nature, while the barnyard, home to our friendly goats and chickens, brings hands-on animal care into our curriculum. Additionally, our reptile enclosures provide a unique opportunity for children to learn about and connect with these fascinating creatures.

Meet Corissa
Our Centre Manager

Once upon a time there was a young girl named Corissa who discovered her true calling amongst the beauty of her local bushland reserve. Corissa, with endless wonders and curiosities , was an explorer at heart. The nature reserve became her playground. Corissa ventured into the reserve. She was a tiny beacon full of enthusiasm, leading a group of neighborhood children deep into the reserve. Together, they uncovered the secrets of the natural world. Built secret houses, collected grasshoppers, inspected leaves, tracked the trails of ants, and identified various animals. As dusk approached, Corissa knew she had to be home when the street lights came on and made sure that all her neighbour friends did the same. Corissa’s natural leadership abilities emerged throughout a young age, captivating all the neighborhood children. Her innate sense of responsibility and her ability to keep everyone safe while keeping them all entertained was evident to all, especially to her mother, who arrived at the reserve to find her daughter always in charge. Witnessing Corissa’s talent for nurturing young minds, her mother knew that she was destined to work with children. Corissa’s future as a mentor and educator was taking root, inspired by her early leadership in the bushland reserve. As the years passed, Corissa’s passion for education and mentoring grew stronger. In 2002, she began her career as an trainee educator, eager to make a difference in the lives of children. She balanced her journey as a mother to Lilyana and Cody, with her educational pursuits. Despite the challenges of being a working mother, she remained dedicated to her path. Corissa didn’t stop with just her initial training. She completed her diploma and eventually became a lead educator. When the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) was introduced, she embraced the role of an educational leader. Her journey led her to mentoring roles within the management of not only her service, but surrounding services in the local area. Always looking to challenge herself, Corissa decided to further her education. She embarked on a journey to study her Bachelor of Education, majoring in early childhood teaching. This academic pursuit provided invaluable insights into her own abilities as a teacher, mentor, and leader. It was during this time that her fascination with psychology became apparent. While she was intrigued by psychology, she didn’t want to change her career path entirely; instead, she sought a way to integrate her newfound knowledge with her work. This quest led her to Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), a field that resonated with her. Corissa possessed a deep passion for mentoring and helping educators reach their full potential. Her understanding of learning styles, communication, and emotional intelligence came from a place of empathy, nurtured by her previous mentors and academic studies. Corissa is known to talk about “colours” quite frequently, that is represented through individual thinking styles and brain processes. She believes that understanding one’s “colour” is key to improving communication and fostering collaboration. Over time, Corissa plans to mentor educators on how different “colours” could relate to and understand each other better. Corissa’s journey from a child exploring the bushland reserve to an accomplished mentor and educator was a testament to her unwavering passion and dedication. She was not just helping children discover the wonders of the world; she was shaping future mentors and educators, instilling in them a love for learning and a profound understanding of their own potential.

The Gleneagle Early Learning Philosophy

Nurturing the Wildhood back to Childhood!

At Gleneagle Early Learning, we value the cherished memories of our own childhood, the days when the backyard was a wonderland of exploration, and the summer holidays were a time for endless adventures. We recognize the invaluable experiences that our childhood offered, and we are committed to creating an environment where children can embark on similar journeys in the digital age.

Nature Play Experiences
Our philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that children thrive when they have the opportunity to connect with the natural world. Just as our childhood backyards were filled with the simple pleasures of

mud, sand, water, leaves, sticks, gum nuts, and pinecones, we aim to recreate those experiences for our children. Children who regularly engage with natural settings tend to be healthier, with stimulated immune systems and a reduced risk of illness. Playing in natural settings encourages physical activity and movement for healthy developing bodies. Exposure to nature fosters resilience, reducing stress, behavioural disorders, anxiety, and depression, while boosting self-esteem. Diverse, natural play environments inspire creativity and collaboration, improving language and social skills. Our irregular and challenging spaces empower children to recognize, assess, and manage risks, building confidence and competence. Natural play fosters positive feelings among children.

At Gleneagle Early Learning, we firmly believe that every child has the potential for happiness and greatness. There is no exclusive gene for success or happiness. We exist to equip children with the skills they need to navigate the challenges and disappointments they may encounter in life. Our focus is on resilience, which is the ability to bounce back from adversity and thrive. Our commitment to this philosophy is reflected in the following principles:
1. Resilience-Building: We nurture resilience in all children, empowering them to face life’s challenges with courage, curiosity, and adaptability.
2. Balanced Environment: We strike a balance between education, care, play, and ‘Wildhood,’ offering a unique setting for children’s growth.
3. Freedom and Choice: We value the freedom for children to make choices, resource their own play and learning, and entertain themselves.
4. Unique Outdoor Environment: Our outdoor space is unlike any other in the area, featuring sandpits, bike tracks, a waterpark, a Barnyard with farm animals, and a Garden World for gardening experiences.
5. Real Play: We emphasize ‘real play,’ where shoes are optional, and getting dirty is compulsory, returning children to their ‘Wildhood’ and fostering genuine connection with the environment.
At Gleneagle Early Learning, we view everything as a journey, preparing children for their future steps in learning while embracing the beauty of their present moment. We invite parents to join us in our mission to provide a childhood filled with outdoor adventures, nurturing resilience, and allowing children to experience the joy of “real play.” Together, we aim to create a space where children can truly be themselves and build the skills they need to excel in life.
